** 31st May 2019  - Laura Knight and the Malverns.  A walk led by Mike Averill and Mike Johnson
In the Footsteps of Dame Laura Knight approx 4 miles. Dame Laura Knight (1877-1970) was probably the most famous female impressionist painter of her day. She loved the views from the Malvern Hills and visited the Malvern area for over 30 years, painting scenes .
We'll trace some of her footsteps to compare the views she painted with those of today, and to pass near to where she had a studio.
Some steady climbs in the British Camp area, on good paths. There will be plenty of opportunities to pause and view. Allow 3 hours
Bring refreshments, cameras and binoculars
